Flare Magazine

To celebrate TFI’s 25th Anniversary - Flare magazine and TFI collaborated to create an innovative Barbie/TFI roll-fold insert with Flare magazine. The project was a labour of love and was inspired by celebrity cover shoots for Vanity Fair by Annie Leibovitz.

The piece showcased top designs from students at the Toronto Fashion Incubator along with sketches of their masterpieces. A tiny set was built, equipped with mini chandeliers and Barbie sized fashion creations. Hair and makeup were not overlooked and the tiniest curling iron ever seen was the talk of the shoot.

The team consisted of top fashion and prop stylists, fashion photographer, Creative Director, Art Director and Designer (that was my role), Account and Project Manager and a team of fabulous Barbies.

The project was the proud recipient of a Gold Media Innovation Award (MIA) in 2012.
